This Series IIA Land Rover is quite breathtaking. Fully restored to an incredibly high standard makes this legendary go anywhere vehicle stand out from the rest. The Birmabright alloy body panels are very straight and free of dents and tears and there are no signs of any damage, even the spot welds on the bulkhead are present and correct. The chassis has been stripped and repainted and has no signs of any previous welded repairs, it also has the chassis number stamped in the correct place. The original four cylinder, three bearing 2286 cc engine has been fully reconditioned and runs very smoothly. The transmission is a reconditioned unit as supplied by a well respected source in Vermont along with a new high ratio transfer box which allows both low range and high range gear reduction and the choice of two or four wheel drive, the vehicle also has freewheeling front hubs. The interior is spartan yet functional and is of an equally high standard, the occupants benefit further from the safari roof with four opening vents to give a through flow of air. We also have full photographic records of the restoration and an almost exhaustive amount of receipts and paperwork which relate.
